Convective INhibition (CIN), otherwise known as negative buoyant energy. The units are Joules/Kilogram. A value near zero denotes a weak or nonexistant cap. A value of -200 to -400 J/K means the cap is stronger. The CIN is not plotted in regions where there is no CAPE (net positive area above the cap).
